Gigantic Himalayan peaks, authentic mountain culture insights and hands on community project that will help a remote mountain school is what you will sign up for on this School project adventure in Nepal. Join us for this unforgettable experience in Nepal to trek around Ghorepani, Poon hill in Annapurna foothills, where around every corner you'll be struck with the dramatic views of the mountains. Your adventure begins in the fascinating capital city, Kathmandu, where you'll soak up the atmosphere, visit Hindu and Buddhist temples and have time for some shopping before flying to the Annapurna region. On the trail, there'll be plenty of opportunities to engage with the lifestyles of local villagers and to interact with Nepali school students. We’ll get our hands dirty in a small village in Rishing 05 Tanahun, where you will work side by side with the locals to improve the local school. This will be a real highlight where you will be fully immersed in village life. With sensational Himalayan panoramas as your constant source of inspiration, even when you get back to Pokhara for a free day of adventure in this relaxed lakeside town, your first taste of the tallest mountains on earth will leave you wanting more!
To determine the grade of a particular adventure we consider a number of factors. These include the condition of the walking terrain, the altitude, and the number of pass crossings and the length of the trek. The Poon Hill, Annapurna Trek is graded introductory. This is primarily due to the low altitude gains and the condition of the trail which is well defined and not unduly demanding. During the trek you will be walking for up to five to six hours a day at a slow but steady pace. You will need a reasonable level of fitness because its trekking, recommended basic everyday exercise before start trip for few weeks.



Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arriving in Kathmandu you will be meeting with our team representative, escort to hotel in Kathmandu. We will have a pre-trip briefing in the early evening where arrangements will be made for the distribution of your kit bag, sleeping bag, liner, closed cell sleeping mat and down jacket and also gives you an opportunity to get interaction  with your guide and some other crew of trip. The hotel is the perfect home away from home and the staffs are very polite, frequently you will be greeted like old friends. In the evening we do organize a welcome dinner, where will be served Nepali traditional meal with traditional musical cultural program. Tomorrow will be an exciting and fascinating day exploring historic Kathmandu so we suggest an early night. (D)
Day 2: Half Day Sightseeing Tour, leisure & Preparation
After breakfast our day will start, take a tour with guide and private transportation. This morning a sightseeing tour has been arranged, taking in the Bodhinath Stupa, world's largest Tibetan stupa, and surrounded by approximately 700 mani wheels, it is heavily patronne by faithful worshippers circling its base. We will continue our tour to another ancient fort, heritage site Patan Durbar Square. Which is perfect pleace to observe wood carving and ancient architectural structure of Nepal, we will have lunch in Patan area, after lunch back to to hotel and have leisure time. Dinner at your hotel. (B/L/D) 
Day 3: Drive to project site
After breakfast, drive 6/7 hours to Rishing village Tanahun, where is commence the community project Mahendrodaya Higher Secondary school. Last one and half hour part is off road driving. The school kids will be expecting our arrival and we will be welcomed into their village like family, prepare for lots of noise, singing and above all appreciation for the work about to get underway. We will first meet with the local leader and school teacher who will take us on a tour of the school showing us what work we will be doing for next two days.  We will camp in a peaceful spot nearby the village where the local children will be delighted to pay you some visit. From today our meals will starts to be prepared and cooked by Himalaya Caravan Kitchen Crew. Evening interact with local community, about tomorrows project have a dinner then overnight in tented camp. (B/L/D) 
Day 4/5: Project work & interact with local students
Early morning after breakfast the group will be divided into smaller work teams and each assigned separate tasks. Some of the work across the next 2 days will involve sanding and preparing the surfaces for painting, paintings the walls, ceilings and any exposed timber work, plastering the external mud walls, sweeping and general cleaning, light load carrying or possibly assisting the renders with their work. You will not need any specific skills or experience, just the willingness to participate and the ability to roll your sleeves up and get a little dirty (you should wear suitable clothes), all for a great cause. There will be a local professional builder supervising the project and ensuring we get all the work completed on time. Regular rest and lunch breaks will be taken so as to keep energy levels high.
On completion of the project a handover ceremony will take place, in mean time you have chance to interact with local students & play friendship game will be organize in suitable time, a plaque will be unveiled and lots of singing and dancing will follow before all enjoying a celebratory dinner. Day 6: Drive to Ulleri Village (1960m) through Pokhara
After breakfast at our camp in Rishing village, we will leave this lovely village and innocent peoples, drive to Nayapul through Pokhara, we will take lunch break in Pokhara, continue driving, which takes total 4 hours, here we will change our transportation, shift to Jeep, drive another one an half hour up to Ulleri Village, dinner will be prepared by tea house family, where we will spend our overnight  tea house lodge, you will definitely enjoy beautiful landscape, pure nature and local peoples. Day 7: Trekking to Ghorepani (2750m)
Our day will start after t breakfast, we ascend gently through rhododendron forest to Nanghethani, continue more walking we reach our destination Ghorepani which takes around 5/6 hours in total, a spectacular settlement located on a ridgeline. The hillside below the Ghorepani is swathed by eight different types of Rhododendron, It’s Nepal's national flower. Our all meal will be prepared in local lodge house, Overnight at Lodge. (B/L/D)
Day 8: Early morning hike to Poon Hill view point (3,210m), then trek to Tadapani (2630m)
Today we have an early start on the day. We ascend to Poon Hill just in time to view the breathtaking sunrise over the Himalaya. We can view a brilliant panorama of mountain ranges from Poon Hill (3210m )of Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Mt. Tukuche 6920m, Mt. Nilgiri 6940m, Mt. Annapurna (8091 m), Mt. Hiunchuli 6441m and much more. After enjoying the views, we return to our lodge for a hearty breakfast, and then follow a pleasant forest trail through rhododendron and oak groves to Deurali(2960 m) on a trail that connects the Ghorepani-Tatopani trial at Chitre. The trail descends through rhododendron forests to Banthanti (2606m). after crossing to the north side of the stream the trail goes uphill, and enters a cane field to Bhurung Khola before climbing again through the steep forests for 20 minutes to finally reach Tadapani (2630m), another beautiful village with great views of the peaks. Day 9: Trek to Ghandruk (1950m), Drive back to Pokhara (820m)
Trek start to Ghandruk after the breakfast. After 4 hours descent trek to big Gurung village called Ghandruk. It is the most interesting tribal Gurung village in Nepal, Which Provides Gorkha solders. It has excellent front view of Annapurna South, Machapuchere and Himachulli. We will take short tour of this cultural village and lunch trek, after lunch trek down one  hour, our jeep will be waiting there, drive back to Pokhara, which takes around 3 hours. Check in hotel, have leisure and relaxing time around Lakeside and fewa lake, Overnight in Pokhara at hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 10: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (6-7hrs)
Early morning we depart from Pokhara to Kathmandu. The 200 km route goes along the Marsyangdi River and then the Trishuli river offering a good view of the natural scenery and farmland. The bus makes one last climb and we arrive at the valley of the gods, Kathmandu. Checks in Hotel, Evening you have time to visit around Thamel and buy last minute some souvenirs. Evening, Himalaya Caravan Adventue will organize farewell dinner, overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. (B/L/D)
Day 11: Departure back to home Trip concludes with a transfer to the airport according your flight schedule, on the way back to home (B)
